Ph.D. Electrical Controls Engineer professionally with 15 + years in teaching, research, and industrial experience. In addition to the necessary academic teaching qualifications and industrial experience required, I have also undertaken important research endeavors in the area of cooperative control in multi-agent systems as applied to building efficiency control that have further enhanced my interest in, and understanding of, this subject matter.
I possess extensive experience as an instructor and lecturer in diverse settings, where I planned, prepared and presented classes and relevant assignments. I maintained clear documentation and feedback on student progress and inspired confidence in students and colleagues to overcome limitations to personal growth and success. I have proven abilities to function in a changing environment and interact effectively with both students and faculty.
I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, USA. My PhD research studied the decision and control of interconnected systems and was funded by my advisor’s project titled “Cyber-Enabled Efficient Energy Management of Structures” (National Science Foundation, Grant CSN-0931748). My dissertation was entitled “Dynamic Consensus Networks: Spectral Properties, Consensus and Control” and considered a novel set of consensus graphs in which the edges were dynamic systems.
